South Pars’ new phases to come online during 2017
Some phases of the giant South Pars gas field, including phases 13, 22, 23 and 24, is expected to come on stream in the next Persian year (starting march 21, 2017) once offshore facilities starts gas injection process, said managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC).

Major part of the equipment required to construct platforms of phases 13, 22, 23 and 24 has already been delivered to the region and it is expected some of these phases to come online next year once offshore facilities start gas injection to platforms, Ali Akbar Shabanpour said.

Sadra Company, constructor of offshore platforms in Bushehr yard, was assigned to Khatam Al-anbiya Construction Headqurters and now it is responsible to build the platforms for phases 13, 22, 23 and 24. Consequently, over 90 percent of the necessary equipment is delivered to the region.

Meanwhile drilling work of phases 13, 22, 23 and 24 and the construction of the pipelines were finalized. “We hope new management and access to necessary equipment speed up commissioning of the projects,” he added.

It is expected theses phases’ refineries to start production at its 50 percent capacity and also a new phase, receiving gas from phases six, seven and eight, to come on stream next year.
