6 more platforms of south pars to start operating by March 2018

Managing director of pars oil and gas company(POGC) announced that six new gas platform of remaining phases located in the second region of onshore facilities of south pars gas field will finalize by March 2018.

As public relations reported, CEO of pars oil and gas company visiting under construction platforms in the yard of Iranian marine industrial company(sadra), stated that construction process of offshore facilities of south pars phases is desirable and said “construction activities have been accelerated by the imported fundamental goods. moreover, custom barriers have been obviated and other parts of imported goods in custom will soon be released to SADRA yard. ”

Pointing to finalization of the six new platforms,  he said that two platform belonging to each of the phases 13, and 22,23,24 along with one satellite platform belonging to the phase 14 will completed in SADRA.

Pars oil and gas company CEO added that the platform 14A constructing in ISOICO (Iran shipbuilding and onshore industries complex company) will be completed and ready for commissioning by this May.

Stating that each of the six aforementioned platforms extracts 500 million cubic feet of gas from south pars gas field Meshkinfam said that by this way 3 billion cubic feet of gas from these platforms will be added to the production capacity next year.

He added that extraction from these platforms lead to gas production capacity over 600 million cubic meters and will meet three times as much as gas production from this field by the beginning of this summar.

Pars oil and gas company CEO announced that provision of needed gas for winter from south pars field along with developmental activities is important. He also continued that the major portion of gas supplies extracted from south pars tank which is already being sent to developing refineries goes to national grid.

Stating that ethane, propane, butane processing rows of phases 20&21 have been completed and is ready to operation, he said that a considerable volume of gas is needed for commissioning these units whereas the produced gas of these phases are injected into the national grid due to increasing consumption needs, as well as to avoid trial production of them
