First SP14 platform successfully installed

ASSALUYEH- the first offshore deck of south pars phase 14 development plans was successfully installed by Oceanic 5000 vessel.
Hamid Reza Masoudi, south pars phase 14 director, announced that main platform 14A weighing 2500 tons has the production capacity of 500 million cubic meters of sour gas per day, public relations reported.
Having completed hookup, pre-commissioning, and commissioning operations, sour gas produced by the platform 14A will be transferred to onshore facilities via 32-inch pipeline. 8 out of 11 wells will be put into operation as the platform 14A comes to complete installation and launch, Masoudi said.
He expressed hope that this platform, as scheduled, will be completely launched by February 20 and the sour gas will be transferred to onshore facilities located in Kangan city.
Referring to total progress of 77.5 percent, phase 14 director added up that drilling operations, pipelines, platforms construction, refinery, and onshore facilities of this plan have reached to 74, 88, 91, 75 percent of progress respectively.
He also said 230 kilometers of sea pipelay operations have been completely implemented which include 32-inch pipelines, 4.5-inch pipeline of glycol, as well as interconnection pipelines of main and satellite platforms.
Drilling operations of 22 out of 44 wells have been completely accomplished and the remaining will be finished by the next three months.
Constructed in Bandar Abbas yard,the platform 14B has reached to88 percent of progress and is expected to be loaded up by May 20. The platforms 14C and 14D are under construction with an appropriate progress in SADRA yard as well.
SP14 has been designed to daily produce 56,600,000mcm of sour gas from south pars field, more than one million tons of liquid gas, one million tons of ethane for petrochemical units consumption, 75000 barrels of gas condensate, and 400 tons of sulfur.
