SP13 Gas production capacity to meet 50 MCM per day
TEHRAN –Managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) announced that south pars phase 13 refinery will reach to 50 million cubic meters per day by winter 2019.
Mohammad Meshkinfam stated that the first sweetening row of this phase got launched at the end of previous winter with the production capacity of 15 mcm per day. The second row will be exploited in couple of weeks. Subsequently, the third and fourth row will put into operation in two-month intervals.
According to POGC's managing director, having prepared this plan's operational rows, sweet gas production capacity will daily reach to 50 million cubic meters by the next winter.
He described that the completion state of phases 22-24 have a lot in resemblance with the phase 13. In phases 22-24, with a one-month delay than phase 13, the first and subsequently the other sweetening rows will be put under operation.
Meshkinfam pointed out that almost 70 percent of country's gas is provided from south pars refineries. We hope we could meet 80 to 85 percent by the end of current Iranian year (March 20, 2019).
The whole effort of the set of employer and contractors is sustainable and safe production from south pars so that there is no concern for energy especially in winter.
Totally, there are 13 refineries in south pars zone that 8 out of which located in site 1 (Assaluyeh city) and are under implementation. Five other refineries are located in site 2 (Kangan city) that 2 out of which have completed and were put into operation. Three remaining refineries consist of phases 13, 14, and 22-24 are under construction at the present.
