SP daily output to increase 100 MCM
ASSALUYEH – managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) declared South Pars daily output will proliferate 100 million cubic meters (equivalent to 3.5 billion cubic feet) by the end of coming winter.

In a meeting with the presence of National Iranian Oil Company's (NIOC) deputy, POGC'S managing director explained the priority to exploit the remaining phases on both offshore and onshore facilities, public relations reported.
Currently, two gas sweetening row for the phase 13 are operational by using phases 6-7-8 gas. Two othersare predicted to come to operation by the end of Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2019). Altogether 2 billion cubic feet of daily production capacity will be available from the mentioned phase by March 20. For the phases 22-24, one sweetening row is under implementation and the second one will be prepared soon.
According to timetable, the 3rd sweetening row of this phase will be ready by the late October and the last sour gas processing row will be put into operation by March 20.
Pointing to the activities accomplished to develop offshore facilities of the remaining phases, Meshkinfam stated that two platforms of each phase will be fully operational by the end of the Iranian calendar year. So we have concentrated on drilling, completing and preparing the gas wells in the sea.
By installing three new decks by the late October, we will meet daily production capacity, namely, one billion cubic feet for each phase. Therefore we will reach three billion cubic feet altogether.
In south pars phase 14, the production capacity is 500 million cubic feet of sour gas a day which is predicted to reach one billion cubic feet by the late October. The third platform of this phase is scheduled to be operated in coming winter which leads to increase daily output capacityup to 1.5 billion cubic feet. Altogether, the production of 3.5 billion cubic feet of sour gas for phases 13, 14, and 22-24 will be fulfilled by the end of the year (March 20, 2019).
In the meeting, NIOC's deputy for engineering affairs made a speech and pointed out to the significance to implement south pars megaprojects on the global scale. He said "after long (10-year) term investment and the valuable efforts of Iranian artisans, the achievements will come to fruition this year".
referring to the country's gas needs in winter and providing them from south pars reservoir, Manouchehri said shared field development plans can be very beneficial in the growth of energy sector especially when we are the subject to sanctions.
In order to manage the implementation of south pars projects, POGC has played the role of the operator in the international sense and appeared beyond an employer. However, operational activities should be accelerated for remaining plans to achieve the predetermined goals on schedule, Manouchehri said.
Commitment to increase the daily production of 3.5 billion cubic feet of gas from south pars reservoir requires round-the-clock efforts. In spite of barriers ahead, contractors and exploitation team have been prepared to achieve the goal.
