SP phase 14 last platform starts operation

ASSALUYEH – the last platform of phase 14 started its operation with the production capacity of 500 million cubic feet (equivalent to 14 million cubic meters) of sour gas a day.

Offshore facilities of phase 14 was completed on Thursday, March 19, by putting the last platform of this plan into operation. Now it is generating 2 billion cubic feet of sour gas by means of its four platforms, director of phase 14, Mohammad Mehdi Tavasolipour, was quoted by public relations as saying.

Platform 14D including deck, flare, bridge, and its other belonging weighs 7000 tons altogether. This giant structure was thoroughly constructed, installed, and operated by Iranian experts and contractors, Tavasolipour said. 

According to phase 14’ director, the first three platforms of this plan, namely 14A, 14B, and 14C, had already been operational with daily production capacity 500 million cubic feet on each. Moreover, the 4th or the last platform also started up with the observance of safety guidelines.

About onshore refinery of the plan, Tavasolipour added up it is expected that the first treatment train along with side units will be ready to receive its gas from the sea this year.
